The Book on Periods

To end period silence and shame for good, we needed to help folks reclaim their periods, tell their stories, and raise period literacy in the process. We needed to print a whole book.

Legitimize experiences in print

Periods are a shared experience for 50% of the population but are rarely a shared conversation. The stigma surrounding menstrual health and menstrual equity means the topic is not discussed openly. We created BLEED, the world’s first crowd- sourced coffee table book of period stories. BLEED is an anthology of real stories from menstruators, created to empower diverse experiences in print.

BLEED launched to widespread support, proving that when you give people a platform to share their truth, they show up. Within days of launching on Amazon, the book climbed the charts and became an Amazon Bestseller, reaching the top 5 in the Menstruation Category. All profits of the book will go towards providing free dispensers, pads, and tampons to non-profits and schools across Canada and the U.S
